I provide expert advice to counsellors, psychologists, psychotherapists and their professional organisations in relation to matters of confidentiality.

I represent national charitable organisations, counsellors, psychologists and psychotherapists in civil, criminal and family cases concerning the confidentiality of counselling and therapy sessions.

In this area of law, know as Public Interest Immunity - "PII" - the court has to weigh competing public interests and then decide whether the public interest in confidentiality of counselling and therapy sessions is, exceptionally, outweighed by the need to ensure that there is a fair trial.
